Privacy, Website Security, Terms of Use

It's important to have confidence that your personal identification is secure.  Our site if built using SSL and HTTPS protocols.

HTTPS is a security protocol that helps our site stay secure. This protection is validated by an SSL certificate.

What is HTTPS?

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure protocol through which your browser communicates with sites.  When using HTTP sites, any data that is transferred can potentially be accessed or manipulated by attackers. However, when using HTTPS sites, data is encrypted and authenticated and therefore secured.

Benefits of Using HTTPS

  • Our site visitors' information is encrypted, and therefore more secure.

  • Site users are more comfortable sharing their personal information online when visiting secured sites.

  • Google Chrome now displays warnings anytime a user visits a site that is not using HTTPS. Therefore if you're visiting a site that is not secured, your will get a warning message anytime you access the site.

What is an SSL Certificate?

A Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL certificate, allows our site visitors to view our site over an HTTPS connection. It secures the connection between your browser and our site.

You can see if a site has an SSL certificate since the URL begins with https:// instead of http://.

A sites URL shows an "i" icon in Google Chrome if you do not have an SSL certificate enabled: a site URL shows a lock icon in Google Chrome to indicate it has an SSL certificate.
